Please post an update about your portfolio that includes your theme, what content pieces you will be including, the visual choices that follow from the theme you have chosen, and then, ask someone in the class for help with two choices related to design. Think about the kinds of things you might ask a tutor in the studio--those are the kinds of questions you will want to ask.

for now my theme is ocean based... i haven't made any concrete decisions on layout as of yet, but i fairly certain it's going to feature coral... i'm considering doing my visual based project on coral reefs as well (in some form... possibly underwater in general or life or whatever... future bridge to cross). i've got to work on some of the visuals over the next week (a task better accomplished at home with some of the more fancy visual programs) hopefully i'll be able to complete a basic layout by the next meeting...

I decided that my theme is going to be rock music, with notes and things of that nature since music is a big part of my life. I decided that my visual piece it going to show the difference between modern musicians today and how many people don't think that there is any difference at all. I hope to use icons of musicans, and instraments, as well as compare pictures of the bands I chose themselves and examples of their indiviual concerts. By next week I hope to have completed my page of with bands themselves.

By the end of this week, my hope is that you'll have decided on a theme for your portfolio, subject matter and approach for your projects (the two elements of your portfolios) and have made at least on page (in draft form.) I look forward to seeing you today.
